Who is your hero, and why?

My hero is Jesus, because he epitomises everything that is good – sacrifice for the good of others; pure love, power and compassion, and a total confidence in who he is, and why he was born. If I can be anything like that, it is my heart’s desire.

What would you like to be known for?

I want to be known as living out the motto of 18th Century Evangelist and Philanthropist John Westley: “Do all the good you can. By all the means you can. In all the ways you can. In all the places you can. At all the times you can. To all the people you can. As long as ever you can.” I think that if people could consider the consequences of their actions before doing anything, that it would have a profound impact on society.

If you could go anywhere in the world on vacation, where would you go?

The top of my bucket list is to visit Finland, Greenland and Iceland; to see the aurora, see the Finnish education system in action, and to visit the scenery at the top of the world. If anyone is planning on going there, and would like to take me, let me know!
